Worth and meaning
A long this journey of discovery with A.I. the thought of what is being created and how much of it is me compared to A.I. has been wondered.
Director and dreamer
I have come to see myself as the director and designer. Through text prompts, image reference with text prompts, edits of images with other A.I. tools and combining the images into videos it is my ideas I am using. The building off of the ideas is also happening.
Vendors owning images and ideas
This past work as I was reviewing cost of A.I. solutions and their terms of use it was a surprise to me some own my ideas. I have known sharing my text prompts to the public gave access to my ideas away. This also happens with sharing the images created. Last week I found creating with an A.I. vendor their terms say they own my text prompts and images created. Any changes to these they own also. This is very unpleasant, they only allow access to use of my ideas and images while having a paid subscription with them. Once I end a subscription they take ownership again of everything. All images created have their license. This makes users a unpaid employee of the companies providing access to their solutions.
The future for A.I. use and laws is still not clear
It is possible there will be a future were all A.I. created works and ideas are owned by the company providing access to the A.I. tools. The user gets to play and give away their creative ideas to the company for the company's profit. I am unsure what would happen concerning all the A.I. created works sold already in the market.
Terms of service and laws can change
Today I am reviewing all vendor terms of service and trying to stop use of any that take full ownership of my ideas. I am aware that these terms and laws can change in the future and that may recording what the terms and laws were doing my use may have no meaning.
Ownership of the results
I have reviewed all the contracts of the A.I. solutions I have used and see the ones that provide me rights to the creations. I made a choice to only use those solutions in my creations which give me full ownership of the results. Those are the only solutions I use in selling of images and creating images and music videos on the YouTube channel. These companies are providing me legal ownership to the results and process.
